HDI Trails at Lake Lansing Rezoning Documents

Friday, April 27th Update: HDI has asked the Meridian Township Board to indefinitely postpone consideration of their rezoning request.  We believe that HDI will be back soon to ask the Board to consider their request.  When they reschedule their appearance, we will let everyone on our mailing list know about it!

Here you will find all of the documents that we have related to HDI's rezoning request.  They are requesting that the Township rezone 83 acres east of the current Trails at Lake Lansing subdivision, so that they can build 151 houses on that land and another 20 acres north of the current Trails subdivision.  The 83 acres are currently zoned RA (meaning rural residential and allowing one house per acre) which would let them build approximately 40 house on that land.  They would like it rezoned to RR (residential--medium density, five houses per acre) so that they can build many more houses there.  The Meridian Township Planning Commission has already voted to recommend against this rezoning, so now their recommendation goes to the Township Board who will cast the final vote.

These documents are organized into four categories, depending on the source of the document:

We think that the most important documents are the ones submitted by HDI; the ones created by the Planning Department and the Planning Commission; the ones from the Ingham County Drain Commissioner; and the detailed opposition letters from various people.

Most documents are in Adobe PDF format; get the Reader here if you need it.
